Spray 2K paint with Airmix manual gun

Save up to 30% of paint, 25% of cycle time and obtain high finishing quality with Sames Xcite+® manual gun spraying combined with automatic mixing technology.

Description

Paint and hardener are pumped and mixed fresh during spraying. Airmix® technology enables efficient atomization and high-viscosity coating. The 2K unit automates pot-life control, color changes, purging, and cleaning.
Colors are pumped to the color change valve block by piston pumps which are sucking the paint form the drums. Drums can be equipped with paint agitator to prevent paint sedimentation. Optionally, the paint could be heated in order to decrease its viscosity. Then the hardener is pumped from a sealed tank with the unique FlowMax®pump fully sealed (that prevent hardener get in touch with humidity).
The 2k mixing machine proportion and mix only when spraying to ensure fresh and homogeneous mixed paint to the gun. During application, the Airmix® gun atomizes the paints thanks to a straight pressure drop and finalize the atomization by ajunction of a limited amount of air.
Airmix® technology makes it possible to spray one single thick layer of paints with high viscosity and thixotropy.
The 2K unit will monitor the pot-life time and is able to provide a fully automatic color change, purging and cleaning operation.

Main benefits

Productivity: spray only one single thick layer with viscous paint, thanks to Sames Airmix technology.

Better finishing quality because always fresh mix of paint and superior atomization with electrostatic system.
Minimize paint and solvent waste: Mix only what you spray. Up to 50% waste reduction during paint preparation and color changes .

No more rework: eliminate mixing errors with precise automatic proportioning and mixing operations with 2K mixing machine

Discover a Smarter Way to Apply 2K Coatings

The Hidden Drawbacks of Traditional 2K Paint Application Professionals using two-component coatings often deal with:

❌ Unreliable Mixing – Incorrect ratios can cause curing problems and poor adhesion, leading to rework.

❌ Short Pot Life – Wasted paint and clogged equipment are common, increasing downtime.

❌ Excessive Cleaning – Frequent solvent flushing increases costs and raises environmental concerns.

❌ Manual Errors – Skilled operators are essential, but even they aren’t immune to mistakes.

    How Automation Changes the Game

✅ Accurate Mixing on Demand – Perfect ratios every time, with less material loss.

✅ Cleaner Equipment – Less cured paint in the system means fewer maintenance headaches.

✅ Reduced Solvent Usage – Automated rinsing cuts waste and improves regulatory compliance.

✅ Repeatable Quality – Consistent performance ensures top-tier finishes on every job.

  • How to select the correct tips of my Airmix sprayer?

The first two digits XX show the caliber of the orifice, directly linked to the flow rate
The following digits YY, are related to the width of the spray pattern at the standard distance of 25cm (10in.)
The digit Z defines the type of paint and fan geometry: water based, solvent-based, or assymetric solvent-based (assymetric fan: same width as a standard one but the flow of paint is higher on one side (70%) than on the other (30%))
For example: Apply 0.6L/min at 120 bar of waterbased paint with a spray pattern of approximately 25 cm
XX -> Caliber #09 will deliver the appropriate flowrate at 120 bar
YY -> Width #11 for a spray pattern of 25 cm
    Z -> #2 : buse Xtra fine finish for water-based materials
The part number of the tip will be: 134.5XX.YYZ
    134.509.112
