Responsible for providing automated systems installation engineering services, from understanding client technical specifications, to assisting with the coordination of installation activities with other technical staff to assure conformance to customer specifications and design.
Duties: Responsible for providing automated systems installation engineering services, from understanding client technical specifications, to assisting with the coordination of installation activities with other technical staff to ensure conformance to customer specifications and design. Work across a broad range of industries but primarily be responsible for the paint application automotive industry. Work in close collaboration with other members of the installation engineering team allowing Sames to build on its' corporate vision of achieving world class excellence and leadership position in the field of precision spraying solutions. Provide automated paint & dispense systems installation, commissioning, and trouble-shooting activities (supervision and hands-on) at customer facilities. Inspect and analyze malfunctioning equipment (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems), document findings, determine source of problem and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective actions, coordinate problem resolution. Coordination and supervision of subcontractors on jobsite in union and non-union facilities. Validation and production support of installed systems. Interact with customers and Sames personnel to establish goals and means to achieve said goals. Prepare and communicate project progress reports on regular basis during different project phases. When not in the field report to repair department to evaluate, quote and repair customer equipment. Perform other duties/responsibilities as required/assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related discipline.
Experience: 3 years of experience in the job offered, or in a process engineering position within the robotics paint application industry. Experience must include working knowledge of robot processing systems to assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of precision finishing and extrusion equipment. Must have hands-on experience in creating and optimizing robotic path work for paint applications, analyzing the results to improve the quality of the process. Experience can be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
