Windscreen and windows glazing
Let’s talk about your projectRobotic glazing solution
Sames' solution for robotic glazing includes three different application heads, able to adapt to the available rotation axis of the robot or the type of material. All heads deliver a closed, robust triangular-shaped bead for a perfect adhesive function.

Material is supplied from the tandem ram station, with automatic changeover, ensuring uninterrupted availability for production.
A dosing unit, calibrated to the adhesive quantity required for each glass component, delivers the precise amount of material to the extrusion head through a custom nozzle.
The lightweight extrusion head is robot-friendly for easy handling, but can also be mounted on a bracket when needed.

Windscreen and windows glazing System Solution FAQ
Let's get in touch-
How do you dispense adhesive on glass ?
The robot is aiming to extrude a continuous bead at a precise position all around the glass component. A compensation system secures the contact with the glass in a large range of 50mm in Z direction.Sames offers all the equipment needed to produce a closed custom-section cords of adhesive. To secure the application process, a vision system is embedded on the extrusion head. It detects a gap in the bead, and any kind of change in the bead geometry. -
Why do I need a vision system?
Efficient and reliable production is rounded off by a visual control system that monitors optimum adhesive application. Most plants already use 2D systems for this purpose. 3D monitoring systems are even more precise: They offer maximum process control with height, shape, discontinuity, but they are more expensive to purchase. Conclusion: Visual monitoring of adhesive application is always worthwhile, regardless of whether a 2D or 3D system is used. Due to their geometry, beads are easier to monitor than swirls. -
What if the material needs to be mixed before application?
To reduce cycle time, a 2-component PU adhesive may be required. The booster injection ratio can be adjusted from 3% to 10% to adapt to your material. The 50mm compensation and the custom nozzles are still available. The full system is only bracket mounted integrating its own 7th axis motor.
