Key Account Manager - High Viscosity Dispense Systems

JOB PURPOSE: Provide High Viscosity Dispense technical and sales expertise with the goal of generating integrated systems sales containing Sames components. The primary role will be to develop new market opportunities which Sames is not currently involved in to improve our market share. The generation of leads for some of these systems also could come from Sames Regional managers, distributors, existing customers, and integrators.
A System Sales budget will be assigned and monitored on a regular basis. While the main responsibility is to generate system sales, with Sames equipment, it is also the responsibility to assist Regional Managers and others as needed. Through a combination of relationship building/management, in-person/remote sales support, and market development activities, this position will drive system sales growth of projects that contain our High Viscosity Dispense Products.
These opportunities include new product field introduction, technical sales support, training and development of our industrial partners, key end-user focus, and new product development. This is accomplished by working together with our dynamic sales team, existing Sames distributors and integrators, robot manufacturers, and material suppliers, dovetailing their requirements with Sames business policies to maximize sales, job content, and profitability.
This person needs to work with our Systems Quote Engineer to help fine tune system quotes and opportunities. This role requires experience in High Viscosity Dispense System design to help complete the sales cycle. In addition to selling systems, facilitating lab demonstrations is a key component of this role. Some of the responsibilities include filling out Lab demonstration request form, organizing dates and timelines, facilitating parts and material(s) for the scheduled Lab Trial/Demo and keep/maintain working relationships with existing system customers. In addition, this person needs to maintain and promote an audit program to assure that our existing end users are getting the best results from our Sames equipment.
Additionally, targeting Tier one and other Automotive type end users interested in converting from their existing equipment to Sames product ranging from the material supply source to the end of arm dispense applicator. Establishing priority targets and strategy with sales management will also be a high priority. Utilization of market experience and contacts to work in conjunction with Sames technical sales support team to identify and develop quotable opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Must develop key relationships with all Regional Managers and distributor integrators.
- Develop Industry Partner Relationships
- Informal training on new and existing Sames products to distribution partners.
- Promote all Sames products.
- Assist in proposal and equipment design specification.
- Advise the service staff when technical issues arise, or additional specific product support may be required.
- Performance Measurables may include:
- Overall increase in High Viscosity business (sales) while working with Regional Managers and Distributors
- Promote Sames Standard solution/System business with integrator partners and direct.
- Monthly reports to include:
- Weekly/Monthly CRM Updates
- Technical and or commercial issues
- Attend all related trade shows and sales meetings as required.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience with industrial Sealant & Adhesive (HV-Dispense) equipment.
- Working knowledge of System Controls, including Sames controls
- Experience in Automotive industry (OEMs and Tier 1), mostly in BIW
- Significant experience interacting with customers and/or distributors.
- Other Qualifications include:
- Technical/mechanical aptitude: ability to quickly attain Sames product knowledge.
- Ability to travel by car, plane, and other transport based on the sales requirements.
- Valid driver's license and insurance; ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint desired.
- High level of emotional intelligence: self-aware, self-motivated, self-control. Holds oneself accountable for actions and results with a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills; able to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of staff.
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written

- Technical understanding of Sames product line or similar equipment

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Extensive travel; visits to manufacturing facilities; some time in an office setting. Requires following physical abilities:
- Sitting in car for long periods; air travel. May require occasional travel outside the U.S.
- May require extended walking (through factories, airports, etc.)
- May be exposed to Sealant & Adhesive Materials, solvents, and possibly some hazardous materials.
- Able to pick up and carry products of moderate weight.
