The complete installation of the ATMR-18 cleaning system
The ATMR cleaning system is designed for cleaning component surfaces or for the application of functional fluids. If grease, oil or dust residues are present on the component, there is a risk that the adhesive will not bond properly.
The basic principle of the system is as follows: A carrier material (felt piece) is first separated from the bulk material, made available to a gripper tool (application head) and finally soaked with cleaning agent.
The user-friendly control system enables extensive process monitoring of the cleaning. It is possible to choose between manual, set-up, automatic, simulation and component-free operation. Thanks to real-time diagnostics, reliable conclusions can be drawn about maintenance and performance.
The dosing pump is supplied with material via a two-bottle concept. One bottle is inserted into a pressure tank, which is supplied with dry compressed air. The latter pushes the cleaning material through the riser pipe into the fluid line to the dosing pump. The system uses an air bubble sensor to detect an empty bottle and initiates the feed from the second bottle. This ensures a continuous supply.
The task of the spiral conveyor is to separate the felt pieces and bring them into the correct position for further transportation. Thanks to the geometry and rotation of the spiral conveyor bowl, this alignment takes place automatically. If the light sensors give the green light, the felt is moved into the discharge device and shot into the transfer station using air pressure.
The medium plate regulates the compressed air and material supply. Bubble and pressure sensors detect the fill level of the bottles.
In the transfer station, the felt is picked up by the gripper, which can be moved forwards and backwards via a pneumatically operated carriage. In addition to the open and close function, it also has the option of adopting two positions (vertical and horizontal).
The application head consists of a gripper for the felt piece, which can be moved up and down via a lifting cylinder (Z-compensation). An optical fiber checks the felt piece in the gripper. The pressure exerted by the lifting cylinder during the downward movement can be individually adjusted electronically during application. An eccentric snail pump enables the centric dosing of very small quantities into the felt piece via a lance (optionally also available with compressed air support).
Depending on the application, the application head is located on the 6th axis of a robot or on a base. Various versions are available.
The pyrometer ensures highly accurate and non-contact temperature measurement of the felt pieces. It is equipped with a miniaturized stainless steel measuring head, which is ideal for installation in confined spaces. The LED display works either as an alarm signal, target support, self-diagnosis or temperature code display.
Each discharge container is supplied with a pyrosensor as standard. It measures the temperature of the dry felt before starting the initial soaking. After wetting with cleaning agent, evaporative cooling occurs on the surface of the felt piece. The temperature difference between the start and end temperature is used to check whether the felt has been sufficiently soaked. If this is not correct, the felt piece is disposed of in the waste container.
The cleaning system is available in two versions: with a felt conveyor or with a spiral felt conveyor.
