Our CSR approach

A word from the CEO

At Sames, we go beyond simply bonding, protecting, and enhancing materials. We bring people together, protect the environment, and beautify our world. Our acronym Sames stands for 'Simply Applying Most Efficient Solutions,' reflecting our commitment to combining performance and environmental respect.

Our corporate social responsibility (CSR) is based on four pillars, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): environment, social, ethics, and responsible purchasing.

As part of the fourth industrial revolution, we support the transformation of our clients' production processes. Our 'Human Touch,' our passion for innovation, and our culture of excellence allow us to meet daily challenges.

Let's work together for a more sustainable future.

Our commitments
Environment

Environment

From product specifications to development, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of our operations. We actively minimize our environmental impact while prioritizing solution performance. Crucially, we focus on optimizing our solutions' operational environmental impact for our customers. Higher transfer efficiency means lower VOC emissions and reduced energy consumption, benefiting our planet.

REDUCTION OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOCs)

We are also committed to reducing VOC emissions. For example, our Cyclomix® EVO system significantly reduces these emissions, contributing to a healthier working environment and less air pollution on customers' sites.

IMPROVEMENT OF TRANSFER EFFICIENCY

By optimizing the transfer efficiency of our products, we reduce material waste during operations. This results in more efficient use of resources and less waste, supporting sustainability and the goals of all our customers.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

We have redesigned our packaging to minimize its environmental impact. Our new packaging uses recyclable kraft cardboard and black ink, thereby reducing the carbon footprint associated with the production and recycling of packaging. Most of our packaging is customized, optimizing material usage and transport volume. Our redesign also ensures logos and information are clearer and more environmentally conscious.

INNOVATING FOR ACCESSIBILITY

We prioritize environmental sustainability by incorporating cutting-edge technologies into our products. From electric bowls to energy-efficient solutions, we continually strive to enhance performance while minimizing environmental impact. Our commitment extends beyond automotive manufacturers; we're dedicated to making these advancements accessible to a broader audience through initiatives like our 8 rotary bells GI range, ensuring widespread environmental benefits.

Social

Social

We place a significant emphasis on the well-being of our employees, demonstrating a strong commitment to their rights and integrity.

HUMAN RIGHTS

We have established an ethics charter dedicated to upholding our employees' rights and integrity, adhering to ISO 45001 standards, reaffirming our dedication to a safe and equitable work environment. As part of our CSR commitment, we have been signatories of the Global Pact since 2022.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

We believe in continuous training for both professional and personal growth. Our programs provide employees with opportunities to acquire new skills, fostering career advancement and ensuring access to essential resources.

INCLUSION AND DISABILITY

Inclusion is at the core of our values at Sames. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities, adapting our workplace to accommodate their needs, and nurturing diversity within our organization.

WELL-BEING AT WORK

Employee well-being is paramount to us. We promote a healthy work-life balance through various support programs, wellness activities, and by providing an ergonomic work environment to enhance satisfaction and motivation.

RISING AWARENESS OF OUR STAKEHOLDERS

We prioritize raising awareness among our stakeholders, particularly on issues like climate change. Through initiatives such as Climate Fresco workshops, themed events, and active participation in conferences, we engage stakeholders in meaningful discussions and actions for sustainability. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, we aim to drive positive change within our communities and beyond.

Ethics

Ethics

We uphold the highest standards of ethics in all our endeavors. Our commitment is evident through tangible actions aimed at ensuring compliance, transparency, and security.

ETHICS CHARTER

As part of the Exel group, ethical conduct is fundamental to our operations. We provide an accessible ethics charter to all employees, outlining the stringent standards we uphold regarding professional conduct and responsibility.

ANTI-CORRUPTION

In alignment with our ethical principles, we have implemented an anti-corruption document that all employees are required to sign. This document reinforces our zero-tolerance stance against corruption and underscores our dedication to fostering transparent and honest business practices.

CYBERSECURITY

We have established robust protocols to safeguard sensitive information and fortify the security of our systems. Proactive measures are in place to identify and mitigate potential threats, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of our data.

Responsible purchasing

Responsible purchasing

We consider responsible purchasing as an essential pillar of our corporate social responsibility (CSR). We are committed to building sustainable and ethical relationships with our suppliers while supporting local economies.

RESPONSIBLE PURCHASING CHARTER

We have developed a responsible purchasing charter that defines our expectations and standards for procurement. This charter, shared with all our partners, emphasizes ethics, sustainability, and transparency in all our transactions. It guides our purchasing decisions to ensure we choose suppliers who share our values.

SUPPORT FOR LOCAL AND REGIONAL SUPPLIERS

We prioritize purchasing from local and regional suppliers, thus contributing to the economic development of the communities where we operate. Currently, a significant percentage of our purchases are made from local suppliers, reinforcing our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and supporting local businesses.

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

By choosing suppliers who adhere to sustainable practices, we ensure our purchases meet strict environmental and social criteria. This includes using eco-friendly materials, reducing waste, and improving working conditions in supply chains.
