Coating of engine
Let’s talk about your projectSpray 2K-WB coating on engine with electrostatic rotary bell
Access complex shape parts, paint waterborne material continuously and save up to 50% of paint with Sames external charge rotary bell.
Description
Paint and hardener are supplied and continuously circulated at low pressure up to the robot process arm, ensuring stable material conditions and minimizing waste.
The entire hardener circuit is fully sealed to prevent any exposure to moisture, guaranteeing consistent reactivity and process reliability for 2K materials.
When spraying is initiated, paint and hardener are metered from the upper color-change block. High-precision volumetric gear pumps accurately control the flow rates of both components into the 2K rotary bell. Final mixing takes place immediately before atomization through an integrated static mixer, ensuring optimal mixing quality and minimal material loss.
The coating is atomized by the high-speed rotating bell and electrostatically charged in-flight using the external charge electrodes of the PPH 707 EXTi. This configuration delivers high transfer efficiency while maintaining excellent film build consistency.
The fingerless external-charge design allows the robot to follow complex trajectories very close to intricate engine geometries. This enables effective coverage of most hard-to-reach areas on tractor engines, even within compact or obstructed zones.
Where required, limited manual touch-up can be performed to ensure complete coverage and cosmetic finish.

Engine Coating FAQ
Let's get in touch-
Why use an electrostatic rotary bell for tractor engine painting?
Electrostatic rotary bells like the PPH 707 EXTi significantly improve transfer efficiency and coating uniformity compared to conventional spray guns. For complex tractor engine geometries, the electrostatic wrap-around effect enhances coverage while reducing paint consumption and overspray.
-
Is electrostatic spraying effective on complex engine shapes and hard-to-reach areas?
Yes. The external charge and fingerless design of the PPH 707 EXTi allow the robot to spray very close to intricate engine components. This enables excellent coverage on complex geometries, minimizing shadow areas and reducing manual touch-up operations.
-
How can I reduce paint consumption in tractor engine coating operations?
By switching from conventional spray guns to an electrostatic rotary bell system, manufacturers can achieve up to 50% higher transfer efficiency. This reduces paint waste, lowers VOC emissions, and improves overall coating cost efficiency.
