Why using 2K or 1K material?
1K sealant is standard material used for this function with compressibility, when 2K Epoxy adhesive would add the crash resistant function to the seal. A 1K silicon based material would add the thermal resistance.
Latest requirement is the ability to debond the cover to replace defective cells, either with a foaming material either with a debonding layer reactive to thermal or electrical input.
Our equipment ensures accurate and uniform sealing, preventing moisture and contaminants from compromising battery pack durability. -
How to build an industrial sealing project?
The first key sizing parameters to define are the capacity, the available cycle time for bead application, the dimensions of the battery packs (seal length) and the areas to be avoided (such as threaded holes for fastening screws), the type of material (single- or two-component), the application temperature, and the bead size.
Based on these elements, we can study a robotic solution to determine the size and number of robots, as well as the pumping and dosing equipment and the application nozzles.
If a continuous visual inspection system is required, it will be necessary to determine whether a 2D camera is sufficient to detect all defects, or whether a 3D camera should be proposed.
