Job Purpose

Provide technical finishing and sales expertise along with the pursuit of industrial focused sales and business development opportunities within your region. Through a combination of relationship building/management, in-person/remote sales support, and market development activities, this position will drive sales growth of our finishing products. These opportunities include new product field introduction, technical sales support, training and development of our industrial partners, key end-user focus, and new product development. This is accomplished by working together with our dynamic sales team, existing SAMES distributors and integrators, robot manufacturers, and material suppliers, dovetailing their requirements with SAMES business policies to maximize sales, job content, and profitability. The Regional Manager may also be called upon to periodically interact with our Regional counterparts to promote sales, new products, new product development, and personnel development.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Must develop a plan to work with each of the distributors in your region. This plan will have to be developed per distributor and it will depend on the size of the account – % of regional total sales.
• Must develop key relationships with all distributor staff including management
• Develop Industry Partner Relationships (i.e., paint, powder and dispense manufacturers, integrators etc.)
• Informal training on new and existing SAMES products to distribution partners.
• Promote all SAMES products
• Assist in proposal and equipment design specification
• Assist distribution with installation supervision
• Monitor monthly numbers per distributor by Capital vs. Spares and by product category – adjust support as necessary
• Advise the service staff when technical issues arise, or additional specific product support may be required
• Maintain calls, customer visits, and opportunities in the SAMES CRM system
• Performance Measurables may include:

• Increased market share per region
• Promote New products
• Overall increase in business within region
• Promote SAMES Standard solution/System business with integrator partners and direct.

• Monthly reports to include:

• Monthly Quote log by 2nd of every month
• Technical and or commercial issues
• Attend all trade shows and sales meetings as required

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience with industrial finishing equipment
• Significant experience interacting with customers and/or distributors

• Other Qualifications include:

• Technical/mechanical aptitude: ability to quickly attain SAMES product knowledge
• Ability to travel locally and occasional non-local travel by car, plane, and other transport.
• Valid driver's license and insurance; ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint desired.
• High level of emotional intelligence: self-aware, self-motivated, self-control. Holds oneself accountable for actions and results.
• Strong customer focus. Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills; able to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of staff

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Extensive local travel; occasional non-local travel; visits to automotive plants/facilities; some time in an office setting. Requires following physical abilities:

• Sitting in car for long periods; air travel. May require occasional travel outside the U.S.
• May require extended walking (through factories, airports, etc.)
• May be exposed to solvents, paints, and some hazardous materials
• Able to pick up and carry products of moderate weight
• PPE required. May be exposed to solvents, paints, and some hazardous materials.

Job Purpose

Responsible for purchase order entry, change orders, expediting, invoice and receipt discrepancy resolution, material planning and addressing supplier quality issues within the Purchasing and Materials Management department. Conduct all business in accordance with Sames Policy & Procedures and Materials Management procedures and philosophy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders by entering data into our ERP system from material requirement programs and/or Buy Now requisitions.
• Monitor the Purchasing Inbox for supplier order confirmations and enter the confirmed dates into the ERP Purchasing system.
• Consult with Purchasing Management when order confirmations are not received or when expedite requests seem unfeasible.
• Monitor the Purchasing Expedite Inbox for internal expedite requests and attempt to implement those requests with suppliers.
• Support procedures on standard cost maintenance.
• Identify items requiring revisions in ordering quantity, re-order level, or economic order quantity, and refer them to Purchasing Management for review.
• Obtain and analyze quotations and recommend the best supplier for purchase order placement to Purchasing Management when it differs from the ERP system's default supplier.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and the internal engineering department for alternative substitutions when expediting orders.
• Work with Receiving, Payables, and suppliers to resolve paperwork or process discrepancies.
• Communicate Supplier Scorecard results to suppliers and work with them to improve performance in all areas of business.
• Occasionally visit suppliers with the Purchasing Lead to foster good working relations.
• Recommend new sources of supply or the removal of poorly performing suppliers.
• Arrange materials transport to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery, including handling vendor returns.
• Manage stocking levels and ordering of office, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
• Department programs & initiatives: Participate in the annual inventory count and other programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or training in supply chain preferred.
• Proficient with computers, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, or strong beginner skills with the ability to learn quickly.
• Experience with ERP software for material planning and procurement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Duties

Responsible for providing equipment/systems installation services along with technical assistance to Sames' customers and distribution network on-site or remotely. Work with internal customers to assist within the repair department undertaking daily duties, when not assigned to a specific job, and assist with miscellaneous projects, as needed. Provide technical support for internal and external customers, in-house and in the field. Provide equipment system installations, commissioning, along with troubleshooting activities at customer facilities. Validation and production support of installed equipment/systems. Prepare daily site/field service reports, throughout project phases. Assist with training schools and provide training on Sames equipment and processes, at customer facilities and in-house. Repair customer equipment, following repair department procedures. Assist with answering technical calls from the support phone line.

Minimum Qualifications      

Education: Associate's degree or postsecondary certificate (or foreign equivalent) in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electro-Mechanical or related discipline. 

Experience: 3 years of experience in the job offered, or in a mechatronic technician or robotic technician position within the automation industrial adhesives industry.  Experience must include working knowledge of adhesive systems, including programming and commissioning of equipment and robots.  Must have hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning and start-up of adhesive application control systems using INTEC software and components.  Experience can be gained concurrently.  Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.

Job Purpose

Provide superior customer service to our esteemed distributors, direct customers, and internal customers. Process orders and give inventory lead times, pricing, and other inquiries via phone, fax, and email.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing required documentation for shipping – domestic and international
• Processing inventory, customer stock, and pricing inquiries

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5+ years customer service experience highly preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency:  Outlook, Word, Excel; Access preferred
• Macola order entry or similar business system order entry experience
• Polished phone skills; very proficient in verbal and written English
• Outstanding organizational skills, time management, and razor-sharp attention to detail
• Understands the importance of high-quality work within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and assist others when needed
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management
• Manufacturing environment & international shipping experience a plus
• French speaking – highly desired but not required
